Charity Credit Card

The living need charity more than the dead.
George Arnold, The Jolly Old Pedagogue (1866)

There is a great need of charity in the world today. The unfortunate in the world are great in number, but so are those who are blessed with plenty.

If only it was possible for each person to be distributed equally with the bounty and wealth of nature, but it is not an ideal world and this can not be a reality.

That does not mean that it is not possible for those who are more fortunate to share their good fortune with less fortunate people. Charity may begin at home, but it need not end there. So how does one go about giving, when there seems to be so little to go around for yourself?

That is where Charity Credit Cards come in. You use the credit card to do your shopping as you would use any other shopping credit card. And you accumulate reward points on the money you spend. These reward points are then redeemed by the charity you support rather than by yourself for some small gift. That way you don't spend any more than you were planning to, but you still manage to be charitable.

This is the ideal solution to being charitable when you really do not have the extra money lying around that will make a major difference. But if you get a Master card or Visa Credit card related to a specific Charity, you can use the Charity Credit Card to help your favorite charity. You can pick from a number of charitable causes that have tied up with the major credit card companies.

There are many times when the plight of some particular being may strike us as pitiable. You applaud the people who are working at the charitable cause and wish you could volunteer more. The money that you have never seems enough to make any real difference to the cause, but it is drops that make the ocean.

So if may be just the little extra boost that they need to succeed. Do what you can when you can and rest assured that every little bit counts. Charity is just another way of giving back to the society which has given you so much.

Charity credit cards seem like a good idea but another way is to spend less and give what you save to charity?
